October 25 is the release of BT 011 Seal Dragons Unleashed. This set contains a total of 100 new cards and 2 reprint cards. The 2 cards being reprinted are Seal Dragon, Blockade from the second English set and the perfect block for the Aqua Force clan, Emerald Shield, Paschal. This reprint will allow more casual players to finally start completing their Aqua Force deck. This set includes support for Kagero, Tachikaze, Aqua Force, Narukami, Genesis and Angel Feather clans.
Angel Feathers Support
Angel feathers get a huge support for the “celestial” sub group. Their main grade 3 is a new triple rare from this set called Solidify Celestial, Zerachiel. She is a grade 3 of 11k power and has a tremendous effect for all celestial cards:
[CONT](VC) Limit Break 4. During your turn, if you have a face up card named “Solidify Celestial, Zerachiel” in your damage zone, all of your units with “Celestial” in its card name get [Power] +3000.
Having a copy of her in the damage zone should not be a big problem because this clan revolves its strength and abilities on manipulating the damage zone cards. One great and easy way of dumping her into the damage zone is by using this celestial card: Candle Celestial, Sariel. She states:
[AUTO]:[Counter Blast (1)] When this unit is placed on (RC), if you have an «Angel Feather» vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, search your deck for up to one «Angel Feather», put it into your damage zone, shuffle your deck, and choose a face up card from your damage zone, and put it into your drop zone.
Nursing Celestial, Narelle does a similar effect but instead of dumping the card from your deck, you discard it from your hand.
With the ability of your grade 3 celestial vanguard in place, you can almost guarantee that all your attacks will be reaching the 20k+ range which will be devastating for your opponent. Angel feathers have always seemed to struggle attacking for high power. Angel feathers were very good at staying alive but would always fail to rough and tough clans such as the Nova Grapplers and Aqua Force. I have always enjoyed Angel Feathers and I truly believe that celestial Angel Feathers is the way to go. It has a lot of raw power as well as keeping the defensive look Angel Feathers have always had.
More Kagero Support
As if Kagero needed more raw power, they released a very powerful grade 3 called Dauntless Drive Dragon. His effect goes as follows:
[AUTO] Limit Break 4 :When a «Kagero» rides this unit, choose your vanguard, that unit gets [Power]+10000 and “[AUTO](VC):[Choose three cards from your hand, and discard them] At the end of the battle that this unit attacked, if this unit did not [Stand] during this turn, you may pay the cost. If you do, [Stand] this unit.” until end of turn.
This is truly a game ending ability. It allows your vanguard to attack and then stand itself and attack again. You twin drive twice so the cost of discarding 3 cards is not as big as it sounds. The attack does not even have to hit for this card’s effect to take place! Your opponent must answer to this ability by having 2 perfect blocks to stop both of your Vanguard’s attacks and still have enough juice left to stop your 2 rear-guards and whatever devastating triggers you may reveal while Twin Driving. This is a very scary card to face and will be often seen as the last play a Kagero player may do. I have great hopes for this card and hope to see its play!
Angel Feathers, Kagero, Tachikaze and get a brand new set of all 4 triggers which allows players to diversify their trigger lineup even more. Aqua Force get a new critical, heal and stand. Kagero get a completion to their Blockade crossride with the Seal Dragons Unleashed.
